McEntee welcomes new investment in 2 Meath East Schools

Lobinstown and Wilkinstown National Schools to get new classroom each

“As the local T.D. for the area I welcome the news today from the
Department of Education that Scoil Mhuire in Heronstown, Lobinstown
and Scoil Naomh Barra in Wilkinstown are both to receive investment
allowing for a new 1 x 80m2 classroom and a toilet for assisted users
at both schools” Minister for Mental Health and Older People Helen
McEntee has stated.

“This investment will take place under the Additional accommodation
scheme. I congratulate the Principals, voluntary Boards of Management
and the Parents’ Associations of both Scoil Mhuire Heronstown,
Lobinstown and and Scoil Naomh Barra in Wilkinstown on all the work
they do for their schools, their pupils and the wider community,
including applying for this funding which I am happy to support at
Government level” Minister McEntee said.

Notes for Editor:

No details are given of the amount of funding approved by the School
Building Unit, as the publication of the amount of grant aid
sanctioned could prejudice the tendering process for an individual
project.

The School Building Unit will issue detailed letters on the relevant
projects directly to the school authorities and these letters will
inform the school authorities of the amount of grant aid sanctioned by
the Department.
