Tuesday, 28th February 2017

Meath East Fine Gael T.D. and Minister for Mental Health and Older People Helen McEntee has recently met with concerned locals (picture enclosed) calling for improved safety on the N2, especially at the Brink, south of Slane on the N2, and fully backed their campaign.

“The proposed changes by the community group in their submission to Meath County Council will improve road marking’s at the junction, prohibit the dangerous parking of vehicles and ensure adequate space for the many trucks who use this major road in and through our County and region” Minister McEntee stated.

“These plans enjoy cross community and local business support, as well as my own full support. I will be raising these proposals with Meath County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland, formerly the NRA, as well as Minister Shane Ross” Minister McEntee concluded.
