Gormanstown College gets funding boost – McEntee

Kentstown National School to receive extra classroom also

Local Minister for Mental Health and Older People, and Meath East Fine
Gael T.D. Helen McEntee, has welcomed the news that Gormanstown
College has received a funding boost under the category “Additional
Accomodation Approvals” from the Department of Education and Skills
this month.

“Funding has been announced,allowing the conversion of the study hall
in Gormanston College into 4 general classrooms.  Having worked
closely with the Principal, Diarmuid Lavin and his Board of Management
since i was first elected, I want to congratulate them on their hard
work, perseverance and success” Minister McEntee said.

The Minister further stated: “Kentstown National School will also see
a new mainstream classroom with toilet facilities for assisted users.
This is an important development for a fast growing community like
Kentstown.”

Minister McEntee concluded by saying: “I want to thank our County
colleague, Minister Damien English, for his help and support on these
and other projects during his time in the Department of Education and
Skills.”
