McEntee welcomes Dunboyne Athletics Club works progress

Fine Gael TD Helen McEntee has said she’s thrilled that the sod has been officially turned on the first stage of Dunboyne Athletics Club’s track development project. Helen McEntee worked with Dunboyne Athletics Club and the Minister for Sport, Fine Gael’s Michael Ring TD, to secure €90,000 of a grant from Minister Ring for the track development project.

Helen McEntee said:

“I’m thrilled that work is underway on Dunboyne Athletics Club’s development project. Last year I worked with Dunboyne Athletics Club’s Committee to secure a €90,000 grant for the project from my Fine Gael colleague Michael Ring TD, Minister for Sport. I’d also like to compliment my Fine Gael colleague Maria Murphy for her support of this project.

“I was unable to attend the official sod turning on Friday morning, due to an engagement with a Kells group on another important community project. But it’s great to see that the development of Dunboyne AC’s tartan track is well underway. This will be a state-of-the-art facility for Dunboyne for many years.

“I am glad to have been in a position as a Government TD for Meath to convince the Minister for Sport Michael Ring to deliver this funding for Dunboyne and for Meath athletes.”
